Gaza Bleeds: Palestinian Killed, Another Injured in Israeli Strikes
The fatal strike hit the Al-Twam area northwest of Gaza City, where the victim's body was subsequently transferred to Al-Shifa Hospital, medical sources confirmed.
In the northern city of Beit Lahia, a woman sustained injuries from Israeli gunfire, according to medical sources and eyewitnesses on the ground. A separate incident in the Sheikh Nasser area east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza left a young Palestinian wounded after an Israeli quadcopter drone dropped an explosive device on the location.
The violence extended beyond individual strikes. Witnesses reported that Israeli forces demolished homes and residential buildings in areas under their control east of the Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, as artillery shelling and gunfire rang out across the surrounding area. Israeli artillery additionally pounded zones east of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, while naval forces directed shellfire and gunfire at the coastline of Khan Younis, local sources said.
The cumulative toll since the ceasefire took hold on Oct. 10, 2025 has now reached approximately 823 Palestinians killed and 2,308 injured, according to Gaza's Health Ministry — a staggering figure for a period nominally governed by a truce.
The ceasefire itself was brokered to halt a conflict that Gaza's Health Ministry characterized as a genocidal war spanning two years from Oct. 8, 2023 — a war that killed at least 72,600 Palestinians, wounded more than 172,400 others, and left roughly 90% of civilian infrastructure in ruins across the territory.
